A little nonsense now and then...

I was also happy to eat barbecue, which is unusual for me. Our next stop was for an early dinner at Ruby’s, a must-visit eatery for authentic brick pit-smoked barbecue. The Mr. got the brisket sandwich with collard greens, and I stuck to a good-old chicken sandwich with spicy southwest mashed potatoes. A splendid meal was had by all. We swung next door to the Spiderhouse cafe, bar, and music venue for a cappuccino before heading across the street to Toy Joy. Here we perused the independent toy emporium’s impressive stock of knick-knacks, wind-ups, and gadgets for all-ages. Next to that was Buffalo Exchange, so I had to give it the once-over in case there was a deal to be had. I found a great designer cocktail dress at the location in LA, and a jacket at the one in San Francisco, so I am keen on shopping there when I travel.
